I LOVE football BUT..........

Okay I'll start this blog by saying this so many people think sports draw us farther away from Christ. That we get so wrapped up in when is the next game and what was that score that we forget that we do not live by sports alone! Okay so while sometimes if you've ever watched a football game with me you know I'm a HUGEEEE ravens fan....lemme explain i love the ravens I've been to many games....and I'm here to say one thing.....i love the ravens because of this...

- These four "Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Willis McGahee, and Gooden pray holding hands in a circle before every game...
(this picture was taken at a ravens vs. panthers game that i went to, i actually sat close enough to get a picture of it!)

- Also from that game Jordan Senn for the panthers got injured
I took a moment during the injury to pray for him........(he's a man he deserves prayer too yes he plays football and there are a select few that look to him as a hero because he plays in the NFL and he makes millions or whatever but no i care more about his health. Injuries suck no one wants em, when he was injuried the ravens were already winning and ravens went on to win 37-13 but that didn't stop me from praying for Senn when he got hurt even tho he was not on my team! think about that, he's a man whether he is on my favorite team or not his health matters, period!!)

- After we beat the Jets in week 1 our head coach John Harbaugh stated this...

"Rex Ryan was talking about the Super Bowl after the match up, Marvez was able to witness behind closed doors a reserved Harbaugh give a post game speech to his team that was inspired by a biblical verse from Corinthians I.
“Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?”
The lesson Harbaugh hoped his players would learn is that the Lord has a way of rewarding the humble and punishing the arrogant"

Last year to our head coach John Harbaugh decided to inspire our team and we got a new jersey patch for our practice jerseys from the book of Nehemiah with the ravens shield in the middle and a shovel and sword crossed behind it like an "X" couldn't find a picture on google of it but here's the article talking about it....
(click on the word article to view the article)

Okay so everything I've said to this point gives you an idea of why the Ravens are a Christian football team that seem to put God first in their way of the sport of football, not themselves. Now I'm going to change directions and tell you why I Adam Bryant personally love my team the Baltimore ravens....
Often i hear this (people care more about what the score for the game was last night than waking up for Church tomorrow, football is your God because it's what you care about the most, Sports draw you farther from God because when people feel that they don't when they feel like sports draw them closer to God it's because they're praying for their team to win, when we put put sports and sports figures first they become our god and we will be disappointed)
Okay some people when they find out I'm a ravens fan they remember the "ravens player" ray lewis trial a decade ago.........okay yes i'm a ravens fan but as a man "ravens fan aside" i've met him, seen ray lewis preach, i've seen the way he carries hisself and lives his life and ray lewis did NOT commit the murder he was accused for...... watch this video and then we'll talk
(click on the word video to view a ray lewis interview on his experience through this)

So finally we're getting to why am i a baltimore ravens fan!!!! I am a baltimore ravens fan because when i think of the ravens, i think a good group of men that love Jesus, i am a football fan because i feel i am closest to God and have some of the DEEPEST prayers when a football player gets injured on the field....

FOR INSTANCE.....yesterday i watched the ravens defeat the tampa bay buccaneers 17-10 however while doing so there were four injuries three injuries to the baltimore ravens and one for tampa bay...

11/28/2011 Baltimore Ravens vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Injuries:
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
* Cody Grimm (He hurt his left ankle 1st halfi spent about half the 1st half of this game praying for this guy, and he was not even on the team that i was pulling for like i'm talking like Lord please help him get over his injury so he can play the game, we're talking deep prayer about Cody Grimm a man that Jesus loves and wants a relationship with, yeah he plays football but what about life after football??)

- Baltimore Ravens
* Le'Ron McClain
- (He sprained his ankle as well in the 2nd half of the game, wow this one looked pretty bad....and do i pray for him because he's on my favorite team? no i pray for him because injuries are no fun been there done that, i pray for him because some injuries are not only season ending but career ending and paralyzing injuries are no fun.....we want Le'Ron to not only have that personal relationship with Jesus but also to have the ability to move the muscles God has given him in life!)

* Michael Oher
- (The Blind Side Celebrity, hmm Michael Oher i've prayed for many times because of his testimony being homeless for a HUGE portion of his life now playing for the nfl, however yesterday he got a sprained knee and didn't look good at all in fact watching the injury i was thanking God that his leg didn't just fall off it looked brutal in the pile up.....i couldn't get a picture of him on the internet from the injury but those of you watching the game know what i'm talking about.....pray for Michael as he heals his knee not so he can play football more or better but so he can use those muscles God has given him!)

* Dawan Landry
(wow this collison was pretty brutal, he's actually had a neck injury before but yesterday he got a concussion and he was just laid out, it was bad......pray that Landry has a quick recovery...concussion's are no fun and can hurt you forever if bad enough...pray not that Landry can be a good football player even after this injury but that he will use his head to listen to the Lord and follow his path for his life, not that of his own....)

So why may you ask do i feel that football makes me closer to God in my spiritual walk with Christ, i believe this is because i've always had a huge love for people. I love sports and i love sports because it gives you a group of people in one central area, lifes always about more than what sport they play or even how good they are at it.....it's about where their heart is.....so to end this blog i challenge all you sports fans, try this one day......when any player not just a player from your favorite team goes down with an injury pray for them..not just for the injury though that should be part of the prayer but for their lives and see where God may work in your heart like he has and does in mine!

Thank you all for reading and following my blogs, hope you all have a great night...
God Bless,

So much more than the words on this blog but the hearts of people reading it!!

Hey everyone!! Good Morning!!
I hope everyone is having a great day! I woke up thanking God today for another breathe sometimes i think about that for a while like just how much of a blessing it is just to wake up another day, and when i think about things like this i just think man, other people should know about how awesome it is for everyday to feel like your waking up to God's Grace, for keeping us alive. As you read my blog for today i just want you to think about your heart where is it? Are you investing in something, have 401k, do you own a home, college degree, have a good job, etc...? Now when you look back and think about that, and those things how many times have you thanked God for these things? All these things are blessings on this world, but in Heaven they mean nothing because HE gets all the glory!, so when you think about these things remember life's about so much more than a pretty nice car, or a good salary. I'd honestly rather have a job that doesn't make much than one that i make so much that i have so much extra money i waste it. Is it weird that I'd rather rely on God for my finances and I'd rather have a steady job with good job security than the best paying job out there? I just want to make enough money to support myself and my family all the left over money is a blessing not a profit!! Just a thought...

Moving On!
Okay........So.........
I was reading through a devotional called my utmost for his highest today in my dorm room and i came across days october 26th and october 27th. In other words yesterday and today and i noticed it was touching on missions this is what it had to say about it.

"Jesus said to them again, '...As the Father has sent me, I also send you'" (John 20:21).
A missionary is someone sent by Jesus Christ just as he was sent by God. The great controlling factor is not the needs of people, but the command of Jesus. The source of our inspiration in our service for God is behind us, not ahead of us. The tendency today is to put the inspiration out in front--to sweep everything together in front of us and make it conform to our definition of success. But in the New Testament the inspiration is put behind us, and is the Lord Jesus Himself. The goal is to be true to him--to carry out his plans!! Personal attachment to the Lord Jesus and to his perspective is the one thing that must not be overlooked. In missionary work the great danger is that God's call will be replaced by the needs of people, to the point that human sympathy for those needs will absolutely overwhelm the meaning of being sent by Jesus. The needs are so enormous, and the conditions so difficult, that every power of the mind falters and fails. We tend to forget that the one great reason underneath all missionary work is not primarily the elevation of people, their education, nor their needs, but is first and foremost the command of Jesus Christ-"God therefore and make disciples of all the nations..." (Matthew 28:19). When looking back on the lives of men and women of God, the tendency is to say, "What wonderfully keen and intelligent wisdom they had, and how perfectly they understood all that God wanted!" But the keen and intelligent mind behind them was the mind of God, not human wisdom at all. We give credit to human wisdom when we should give credit to the divine guidance of God being exhibited through childlike people who were "foolish" enough to trust God's wisdom and His supernatural equipment.

Wow! i love the way this is put! this is the section for yesterday! man like when you look at missions some people look at it so wrong. Tell me this personally i have a problem with some churches because of this... Some churches will have $2,000 to $500,000 or more in their cemetery fund and memorial funds, and tell their youth programs to go out and do fund raisers while the churches aren't supporting their youth group at all or next to none... Some churches like this have more life in their cemetery than in their people... because of no outreach! i understand it's nice to have flowers on daddy's and grandaddy's grave that's great! but not at the cost of outreach and ministry! Church is not all about outreach but it is a command not a suggestion!! The great commission for me tells me to GO therefore and make disciples of all the nations not welllllll maybe if you want to then you possiblyyyyy if it's fun for you go and maybe tell people about Jesus NOOO it says GO therefore and make!!

However at the same time there's a method to this madness in the devotion for today October 27th it says...
Jesus Christ did not say, "Go and save souls", (the salvation of souls is the supernatural work of God), but he said "God... make disciples of all the nations...". Yet you cannot make disciples unless you are a disciple yourself. When the disciples returned from their first mission, they were filled with joy because even the demons were subject to them. But Jesus said, in effect, "Don't rejoice in successful service--the great secret of joy is that you have the right relationship with Me" (see Luke 10:17-20). The missionary's great essential is remaining true to the call of God, and realizing that his one and only purpose is to disciple men and women to Jesus. Remember that there is a passion for souls that doesn't come from God, but from our desire to make converts to our point of view. The challenge to the missionary doesn't come from the fact that people are difficult to bring to salvation, that backsliders are difficult to reclaim, or that there is a barrier of callous indifference. No, the challenge comes from the perspective of the missionary's own personal relationship with Jesus Christ--"Do you believe that i am able to do this?" (Matthew 9:28). Our Lord unwaveringly asks us that question, and it confronts us in every individual situation we encounter. The one great challenge to us is--do i know my risen Lord? Do i know the power of His indwelling Spirit? Am i wise enough in God's sight, but foolish enough according to the wisdom of the world, or trust in what Jesus Christ has said? Or am i abandoning the great supernatural position of limitless confidence in Christ Jesus, which is really God's only call for missionary? If i follow and other method, I depart altogether from the methods prescribed by our Lord--"All authority has been given to Me...God therefore..." (Matthew 28:18-19).

Wow again! just love these two devotions! he did not tell us to go and save souls! we can NOT do that only he can! however as Christians in general we are all called to plant the seeds in people. It's up to God to do the healing, help with growing, and most importantly the saving!!

Just wanted to share that for today i hope everyone is having a blessed day! I know i am! MAN God is good! (Luke 1:37). If there's someone you've been praying about for years and they still haven't came to the Lord look up that verse it's Luke 1:37. When you think of giving up not trying anymore, you think about that verse! Sometimes God may say Yes, No, or Not right now. but he always answers our prayers!!

Psalms 139: 17-18

"We should encourage people in the game of life, and we should challenge people to study the word of God" - Joe Gibbs

"Reputation is what man says about you; Character is what God knows about you" - Bobby Bowden

"If everything seems to come simply by signing check, you may forget that you are at every moment totally dependent on God" - C.S. Lewis

Psalm 139:17-18 man!! check it out!! God has more thoughts about me than the grains of sand! think about that! if you were to just pick up one handful of sand on the beach and start counting. i'd lose count and i am sure you would too... now think about all the beaches oh by the way at the bottoms of oceans is more sand... there's A LOT!!

(according to google.com) and i repeat according to google i looked up that question...... "how many grains of sand are there in the world?"

This is what i GOT!! - There are seven quintillion five quadrillion grains of sand on all the beaches of the world. That's a 75 with 17 zeros following!

wow!!!! i doubt that number is close to the real number only God knows how many there are "i believe" but still 75,000,000,000,000,000,00 that's a alot of thoughts that God has about me!
now to challenge all of you guys reading this! if God thinks about us/you that many times, how many times do you think about him in return? most of us need to admit it's not 75 quintillion five quadrillion times!

Artist: David Crowder Band
Song: Here is Our King

From wherever spring arrives to heal the ground
From wherever searching comes
(The look itself a trace of what we`re looking for)
So be quiet now...and wait
The ocean is growing
The tide is coming in
Here it is...

Here is our King
Here is our love
Here is our God who`s come
To bring us back to Him
He is the One
He is Jesus

And what was said to the rose
To make it unfold
Was said to me here in my chest
So be quiet now...and rest
The ocean is growing
The tide is coming in
Here it is...

Majesty...
Finally...
Here

and MANNNNNNN it was great live!!!! way worth more than my $5 but glad it was only $5 haha

You must die to live
You must lose to gain.
Weakness is strength.
Joy exists in the midst of suffering.
Power is restraint.
Love those who persecute you.

No I Don't

Wow i just stumbled across the video it's amazing!! love the long to me bear represents Jesus and girl stands for all of us at some point we walk away because he is our God, he accepts us back when we're ready it's a really touching video!! hope you guys like it!! And also not only that but the lyrics are incredible

Artist: The Almost
Song: No I Don't
I'm looking for some stable ground
Some kinda place to lay it down
And settle for a while
I'm sick of looking for a star
I won't show anyone my scars
Can you help me out?
I wanna see a change in me

When it's time for another round
I get in then, I bow out
I'm kinda freaky that way
I used to stand as tall as I could
I used to be better than good
I guess I've made my bed
I wanna see a change in me

No, I don't listen when they tell me
They think I won't
Come back around
Find my way out
It's none of their business!
It's none of their business!

I've got another song in me
Because of you, I'm changing
I'm learning how to wait
Ugly as I could've been
Down and out and all broken
You never made me wait
You saw me
You didn't see my shame

I'm free because you said so
And I'm learning to grow
Because you held my hand
I'm free because you said
Go, keep walking

Hands

"These Hands Saluted My Son For the Last Time"
and "With these hands need a helping hand" get me every time!! man i LOVE this song!!
I'm glad God has saved us from our sins some things we do with our hands is so sinful!
But also at the same time our hands can do great things!! I think the body part hands is such a deeper thing than we give it credit for Jesus had nails in his, with either sin with ours or we do God's work with ours!! With mine i'd like to show you that Jesus loves all of us and is willing to have a nail go through his hand and die for you and your sins!! If there's anything you need to talk to Jesus about or confess to him just do it :) what's holding you back?? the creator of the universe wants a relationship with you!! how cool is that??? i think that's pretty awesome!!

True Christianity!

Man i have so much respect for Aaron Gillespie! He tells it like it is! i love the band "his band" the almost! they are amazing!!

We have churches that tell their youth to go out and do fundraisers but they have over $2,000 in their cementary fund...thats why there is more life in that cementary than there is in that church." -Perry Noble

One thing everyone reading this should know about me is that ALL want to do in life is serve Jesus Christ! If u need me to pray for you/with you about something I'm here for you, all I want to do in life is show everyone I can the love of Jesus Christ and God's mercy on us!! (Romans 8:37-39)

Its easy to slip into this world and just be a good guy with a lot of religion, rather than a faithful producing son of God in enemy territory! This is why I feel its not about the religion you have its about the relationship whether your jewish, muslim, protestant! Doesnt matter, just want all of you reading this to know that God loves you no matter what you do! An so do I! If anyone needs anything prayed for I'm here!!

John 3:16 i'm here for you guys! and so is he! if any of you have anything you need lifted up just let me know what i can whether that be pray for you, with you, or both. for any of you guys who are going thru anything, like big struggles with your life or something remember one thing i love this verse it's Luke 1:37 "For nothing is impossible with God" ask yourselves what's impossible with God! then read that verse!

Until Next Time,

My First Blog!

Today in Old Testament class we started going over the former prophets man, there' s alot in those books! and then in my world christian movement class i made 100 on my quiz!! so it was a pretty good day! then work 4-6, and saw my wonderful fiance sarah for dinner. man i can not wait to marry that woman!! she's SOOOO good to me!! i don't know what i would do without her!! we're going to the fair tomorrow to see david crowder band that should be pretty fun! maybe i'll even eat some more fair food gahhh-leeee i love fair food!! anyways here some food for the mind!! tell me whatcha think...

Lately over and over i've been constantly telling myself....Don’t worry about ANYTHING, instead PRAY about EVERYTHING, and then FULLY RELY ON GOD, and TRUST IN GOD, and he will show you the answers because LIFE IS REAL, and GOD IS LIFE. We are closer to PERFECT when we stoop than when we soar, and fear comes from a misunderstanding, and misunderstanding comes from an IMPERFECTION INTERPRETATION. Walking away from a chance to witness to a non-believer is no different from walking away from a man being NAILED TO A CROSS TO SAVE YOU FROM YOUR SINS…
And, through all the pain and suffering this man was to take, all he would ask you in return would be to LIVE TO LOVE. To live to love would be to LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE, AND FOLLOW JESUS. For if you trust in him, he will show you the way, the truth, and the light. He will teach you to be DARING, HUMBLE, WILD, and REAL, because anyone can count the seeds in an apple. Only God can count all the apples in one seed!

If pain didn't exist, we would never know comfort. If FAITH can move mountains, it can MOVE YOU. If you are headed in the wrong directions, GOD ALLOWS U-TURNS. Death is the end of excuses and the beginning of eternity. Life is your only chance, and eternity is payback time. If you were to ask Jesus how much he loved you, he would reply THIS MUCH!!! And after that he would proceed to stretch his arms and die on a cross. If all the hell a Christian has to experience is here on earth, then things aren’t so bad after all. If all the heaven a lost person experiences is here on earth, then that is really sad.

Lately i've found out that one of my all time favorite books is Jeremiah, the 15th Chapter, verses 19-21.

Therefore this is what the Lord says: " If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them. I will make you a wall to this people, a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you but will not overcome you for I am with you to rescue and save you," declares the Lord. " I will save you from the hands of the wicked and redeem you from the grasp of the cruel."

Wow, I Love that Scripture!!

Even though as of right now I am completely confused about what I should be doing I definitely believe that God has a plan for me and have faith that I am being lead down the right path.

I don't have my life figured out by any means, as perfect as it may seem. It isn't at all. I simply have complete trust in God and am letting Him guide me where He wants me to go. He has something amazing in store for all of us, so there is no need to worry. Open up your heart to Him and He will lead you down a beautiful path.

I don't know a lot but I do know that i everyday strive to live my life by:
LOVING GOD
LOVING PEOPLE
FOLLOWING JESUS.
